A Letter From the Directors….

When we first started our treks in 1987, our goal was to provide a higher quality of adventure tour in the Himalayas. We had been working and living in the region for years and wanted to help people have a more in depth and interesting travel experience.

We have a proven commitment to the local community through our hiring practices and our environmental precautions. Our attention to detail ensured the tours were exciting but also safe and meticulously planned. This recipe was an immediate success and soon our adventure clients were asking for more . . . they wanted cultural excursions or "softer" adventure.

To satisfy our clients we started to provide a whole range of tours. We used our expertise in this part of the world to develop cultural tours that allow travelers to experience the area as it really is – in all of its color, intrigue, and fun.

Whether you are looking to hike the Himalayas, explore ancient architecture, follow the temple trail, or wander through exotic bazaars – we are sure to have a tour for you.

Unlike many tour operators our motto is: " If we don’t know it we don’t sell it." This means that we spend a lot of time on the road – exploring new destinations – one of the pleasure of our work! It also means that you will not find yourself faced with a reality that does not meet the description you see on paper.

Our approach is to provide interesting tours with a personal touch – to provide an alternative to mass-market tourism. Whether you are a seasoned traveler or a first timer we look forward to helping you realize your travel dreams!

Sincerely,

Nazir Rah and Katherine Hay (Directors)
