When an active vacation is exciting, everyone can feel it! Each morning brings the anticipation of an invigorating itinerary, friendly chats, tantalizing food and drink. We've taken time to reflect on what makes this excitement happen during these adventures tours. An active vacation is like live theater. It takes a director, producer, players, and audience. in our TOURS

Most of our CONTINENTAL GUIDED BICYCLE TOURS include:
• A non-regimented, cycle-at-your-own pace itinerary, with an average 35-40 miles per day and the option of additional or fewer miles.
• Lodging in select country inns and hotels.
(Double occupancy)
• Daily breakfast (some with dinner - see individual tour descriptions and prices.)
• Free transfers and long term parking for most tours. (See our daily itineraries)
• Support vehicle for transporting luggage, equipment, snacks, drinks, and overall assistance.
• Detailed maps, route descriptions, and cultural information on a daily basis.
• Most commercial transportation within the country of the tour. (See daily itineraries for specific transfer information.)
• Friendly and experienced multi-lingual assistant.
• Expert bicycle mechanics.
• Guided tours of selected historical sites.
• Wine tasting at selected sites.
• Option to rent a Trek bicycle and/or helmet.
• Pre-departure information packet includes: tour specific info., reading list, packing list, training suggestion, riding tips, etc.

A Word About Our Equipment

With our partners and guides we maintain a fleet of more than 200 Trek bicycles. Riding one of our quality Trek bikes allows you to focus on the unique area you'll be touring, rather than worry about mechanical failure. If you wish to bring your own pedals, seat or mirror, our guides are ready to help customize your rental bike.

Your rental bike will come equipped with the following items:
• Cannondale handlebar bag with map case, shoulder strap
Spare tube, tire levers, combination lock, and a mini-pump
• Trek or Cateye computers (for calculating distances, speed, average speed, max. speed, and trip time.)
• Trek rear-rack and bungy cord (for strapping on those extras!)
• Classic Adventures' 24 oz. water bottle
• Gel touring seats
• Bar-ends for more hand positions
• Bicycles are available in 15", 17", 19", 21", 23" and 25" frame sizes.
• Trek models: 420, 1000, 730, 750, 7300 and 7500
• Speak with a Classic Adventures representative if you're not sure about frame size.


ELIGIBILITY
Teh Continental Cycle tours  are limited to anyone 18 years of age or older, unless accompanied by a legal guardian. Each participant must be in good physical and mental health.

BICYCLE AND HELMET RENTAL
WE have 21 & 24 speed Trek bicycles for rent (15", 17", 17.5", 19", 20", 22.5", 23", and 25" frame sizes), all of which are in excellent operating condition. A limited number of women’s bikes (step-through frame) are available upon request.

Bicycles are equipped with:
• Cannondale handlebar bag
• rear rack
• water bottle
• lock
• pump
• spare tube
• odometer/computer.

Helmet rentals are available on all tours (prices vary by tour). A limited number of Trek tandem bicycles are available.
